Floyd “Joe” Davis, 62, of 708 S. Grant Ave., an employee at R.R. Donnelley & Sons many years, died suddenly today in Culver Hospital. Mr. Davis operated the park concession stand at Milligan for the last six years. He had served as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader and Democrat precinct committeeman, He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Born Nov. 11, 1913, at Crawfordsville, he was a son of Omer and Laura Vannice Davis. He was married in 1938. Surviving are the widow, Hazel; two sons, Kenneth of Crawfordsville and Everett of Rensselaer; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Dexter of Rt. 3; a brother, Roy of Terre Haute; and eight grandchildren. A grandson, five brothers and a sister are deceased. Services will be at 2 a.m. Monday in Powers Funeral Home at Crawfordsville with the Rev. Leland Brett officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. – jlr
